Job Description

This is a critical operations role responsible for the safe, efficient, and cost-effective management of fuel movements through a pipeline network. Working within a 24/7 control room environment, you will remotely monitor and control fuel flow using SCADA and associated systems, ensuring smooth delivery aligned to customer requirements.

Job Responsibility

  • Operate and monitor the pipeline network via SCADA and other control systems
  • Act as a central point of contact for routine, abnormal, and emergency pipeline scenarios
  • Liaise with shippers, scheduling teams, pipeline technicians, and maintenance staff to coordinate operations safely and efficiently
  • Record, monitor, and report alarm conditions, near misses, and incidents to support continuous improvement and regulatory compliance

Requirements

  • GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths
  • Previous experience in a pipeline, despatcher, or control room role
  • Exposure to industrial sectors such as Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, Water, or Hazardous Materials
  • Control systems experience (preferably SCADA)
  • Strong IT literacy and analytical decision-making skills
  • Excellent communication under pressure
  • A proactive and safety-conscious mindset
  • Full UK driving licence - site is not accessible via public transport
