The Control Room Operator is responsible for monitoring, controlling, and optimizing plant systems to ensure safe, efficient, and continuous operations. Working from the centralized control room, this role oversees system performance, responds to alarms, coordinates with field operators, and maintains accurate logs of all production activities. The operator plays a critical role in maintaining process stability, product quality, and overall plant safety.
Job Responsibility:
Monitor all plant equipment, alarms, and system indicators from the control room
Adjust system settings and operating parameters to maintain proper production flow
Communicate with field operators, maintenance, and supervision to coordinate operations
Document system readings, events, and production details in daily logs
Assist with system start‑ups, shutdowns, and troubleshooting activities
Respond to abnormal conditions, initiate corrective actions, and notify supervision
Perform routine system checks and verify equipment functionality
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe control room environment
Follow all safety protocols, plant policies, and standard operating procedures
Support general production tasks when required
Requirements:
Experience in industrial operations, control systems, or related technical environments
Strong attention to detail and ability to monitor multiple screens/systems simultaneously
Solid communication skills and ability to collaborate with cross‑functional teams
Ability to respond quickly to system changes and make sound decisions
Basic computer proficiency and comfort with HMI/PLC‑based systems (training provided)
