Job Description

Our Shepperton branch is seeking a Control Room Operative to be at the heart of our daily operations. This is a great opportunity for someone with a high level of integrity to develop within Loomis UK - one of the market leaders in our industry.

Job Responsibility

  • Coordinate and monitor daily transport routes using planning and tracking tools
  • Ensure compliance with operational and legislative requirements
  • Liaise closely with both internal teams and external partners to support service delivery
  • Manage vehicle tracking
  • Issue equipment and access codes
  • Process administrative documentation
  • Maintain accurate records
  • Responsible for opening and closing the branch
  • Oversee control room security
  • Report incidents
  • Occasionally support airside operations at Heathrow or Gatwick, covering driver shortages and undertaking road duties when necessary

Requirements

  • Full UK driving licence
  • Must be able to pass criminal record, personal credit and ID checks
  • Must have verifiable 10-year employment/unemployment/educational history
  • Must be approved to attain an SIA licence
  • Confident communicator with strong interpersonal skills
  • Logical approach to problem-solving
  • Comfortable managing change in a fast-paced environment
  • Can prioritise tasks effectively to meet tight deadlines
  • Strong time management and organisational skills
  • Confident using IT systems to plan, monitor, and report on operational activity
  • Knowledge of transport legislation (ideal)
  • Previous experience in roles such as Driver Guard, Vault Operative, or within a related industry (ideal)
  • HGV licence (highly desirable)
  • SIA accreditation (advantageous)

  • Existing HGV licence
  • Existing CVIT SIA licence
  • Knowledge of transport legislation

  • Ensure safety of all persons on site
