Job Description

To own and manage the contract and supplier governance framework across the group, ensuring full visibility, control and proactive management of all supplier contracts. This is a newly created role with full responsibility for contract and supplier governance across the business. The successful candidate will take ownership of embedding and managing governance structure, ensuring contracts are properly recorded, suppliers are compliant, and renewal activity is proactively planned.

Job Responsibility

  • Maintain a comprehensive and accurate contract register, ensuring all contracts are properly executed, stored and accessible
  • Monitor contract expiry and renewal dates, ensuring proactive renewal planning and avoiding reactive extensions
  • Maintain clear visibility of key commercial terms, obligations and service requirements
  • Ensure contract documentation is managed in line with internal governance standards
  • Identify and resolve gaps in contract records or compliance documentation
  • Maintain and manage the approved supplier list, ensuring records are accurate and up to date
  • Coordinate supplier onboarding, ensuring required compliance documentation is completed and stored
  • Monitor supplier performance against agreed contractual terms and SLAs
  • Address performance concerns professionally and constructively where required
  • Prepare performance data and commercial information to support supplier review and renewal meetings
  • Attend supplier meetings where appropriate, ensuring actions and agreed changes are documented and implemented
  • Support the Senior Procurement Manager with tender preparation and contract documentation
  • Prepare spend analysis, renewal trackers and supplier reporting to support commercial decision-making
  • Support supplier consolidation initiatives by identifying duplication and opportunities for improved leverage
  • Ensure supplier records remain audit-ready and compliant
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of procurement governance processes

Requirements

  • Highly organised with exceptional attention to detail
  • Strong contract administration and governance capability
  • Confident communicator with the ability to build positive supplier relationships
  • Comfortable holding suppliers accountable to agreed service levels
  • Commercially aware and able to support negotiation discussions with data and insight
  • Able to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Comfortable working with autonomy and taking full ownership of an area of responsibility
  • Proficient in MS Excel and comfortable working with data
  • Experience in contract administration and contract governance
  • Supplier relationship and performance management experience
  • Experience supporting tender processes or sourcing activity
  • Experience managing supplier onboarding and compliance documentation
