Job Description:

This is a contract specialist position that is part of our Division of Facilities Development team and will play an important role in ensuring the project delivery mission is executed.

Job Responsibility:

  • Coordinating the development of architect, engineering, and construction contracts
  • Providing assistance with the bidding process
  • Providing assistance on various other office supporting duties

Requirements:

  • Training or experience in contract review and interpreting and applying administrative rules (e.g. compliance review, auditing, analyzing, review and application of state statute and policy in contract materials, or similar)
  • Training or experience in communication skills and organizational skills (e.g. developing working relationships, developing written materials, negotiation, conflict management, time management under challenging deadlines or similar)
  • Training or experience in administrative skills (e.g. proficiency in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook, or similar)

  • Proposal preparation: examining proposal requirements, analyzing terms and conditions to evaluate risk, review Basis of Estimates (BOEs) for accuracy and completeness to provide for proper contract acquisition and fulfillment in accordance with company policies, legal requirements, and customer specifications
  • Contract administration: processing contractual documentation and reports, advising management of contractual rights and obligations, compilation and analyses of data and maintenance of historical information
  • Facilitating proper shipment, billing, and payment collection for deliveries and interfacing with DCMA as required
  • Preparing weekly and monthly reports and maintenance of assigned contracts
  • Duties may also include the preparation of proprietary information agreements, associate contractor agreements, export licenses/agreements and various types of memoranda
