Job Description:

We are looking for a candidate who can provide legal and commercial advice and ensure contractual standards are being applied within the company, including clarifying the arrangements for commercial input, which include all legal matters arising and oversight of supplier and subcontract arrangements. Your role will report directly into the Head of Supply Chain in all matter relating to ethics, compliance & Data protection for the company.

Job Responsibility:

  • Provide legal and commercial advice and ensure contractual standards are being applied within the company
  • Draft and negotiate MOUs, Confidentiality Agreements etc. for general business use
  • Draft subcontract Agreements
  • Review terms and conditions and ITTs received from prospective Customers and draft legal opinions for governance purposes
  • Provide oversight and maintenance of clients Terms and Conditions to always maintain legal compliance
  • Draft responses to commercial issues raised by potential Customers or Suppliers
  • Draft commercial correspondence to Customer / Subcontractor for issue by Project Manager
  • Liase with the procurement department whenever a requirement
  • Deal with variation of contract and claims with suppliers and clients under the supervision of the Commercial Manager
  • Provide legal, ethical and commercial training to employees
  • Assist the Head of Supply Chain & Support Services with dispute resolution

Requirements:

  • Degree or Equivalent qualification in either Legal, Procurement or Commercial
  • Knowledge and experience of contractual best practice
  • Strong knowledge in Commercial & Contractual law - Exp of NEC, JCT or FIDIC etc.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Eligible to work in the UK
