In your role as a Contracts Officer, you will support contract administration and outsourcing across our capital program, acting as a key link between Engineering and Operations to help deliver projects efficiently. You will manage contracts across their lifecycle, supporting project and commercial processes, maintaining compliance with contract terms, minimising risk, and keeping accurate records. You'll work closely with internal teams and contractors to support contract execution, provide regular status reporting, and contribute to post-project reviews and continuous improvement. You'll be part of a supportive and collaborative team in a beautiful location. With new plant equipment being introduced across our sites, you'll have the opportunity to influence requirements and how projects are delivered, playing a hands on role in making a real difference.
Job Responsibility:
Support contract administration across the full lifecycle, including preparing key documentation such as variations, extensions of time, and practical completion
Provide guidance to Project Managers and Engineers to ensure contracts are understood, compliant, and effectively executed
Act as a key point of expertise in contract management, supporting commercial processes and minimising risk across capital projects
Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders and suppliers, offering advice, coaching, and support to drive successful project outcomes
Contribute to continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to enhance processes, challenge existing approaches, and support better ways of working
Requirements:
3+ years' experience in a project administration or support role, ideally within construction projects
A certificate in project management (or equivalent practical experience)
Strong understanding of contract management principles and obligations within project delivery
Proficiency in SAP (PS/IM), SharePoint, Microsoft Office, and contract management systems (e.g. ELO or similar)
Strong communication skills, with the ability to build relationships and work collaboratively across teams
Nice to have:
Experience working on projects, equipment supply, or construction contracts (including Australian Standards)
Exposure to continuous improvement practices and a proactive, solutions-focused mindset
Ability to support project planning, estimating, scheduling, and controlled document management
Relevant tertiary qualification in Contract Management, Engineering, Finance, Commerce, Law, or a related field (or willingness to study)
Experience in the sugar industry
