We are looking for an experienced Contracts Manager to lead and oversee contract management operations for one of our top clients. This role involves managing a team of Contract Specialists and ensuring that effective risk management strategies are in place to support our business units and corporate departments. The position requires strong leadership skills, exceptional attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate with key stakeholders across multiple divisions.
Job Responsibility:
Lead and supervise a team of Contract Specialists, assigning tasks, monitoring workloads, and fostering growth through mentorship and development opportunities
Evaluate and implement contract management tools, partnering with IT to enhance document tracking and sharing processes for improved operational efficiency
Develop and enforce policies and procedures to streamline contract operations, ensuring consistency across divisions
Review, draft, negotiate, and manage a diverse range of contracts, including agreements with clients, subcontractors, and vendors
Act as the final decision-maker on complex contract matters, providing guidance on high-level agreements and mitigating risks
Coordinate executive approvals and deliver reports on contractual risks, market trends, and operational changes
Maintain and update a centralized contract document library, creating tailored documents to meet the needs of various business units
Design and deliver training programs to educate teams on best practices for contract management and risk mitigation
Collaborate with stakeholders to align contract processes and integrate systems across divisions for a unified approach
Requirements:
Proven experience in commercial contract management, including drafting, reviewing, and negotiating contracts
Strong knowledge of contract law, particularly within the construction industry is required
Familiarity with contract management tools and software to optimize workflows
Ability to manage and lead a team, providing mentorship and fostering detail-oriented growth
Excellent communication and negotiation skills to interact effectively with stakeholders and executives
Experience with risk management techniques and implementing mitigation strategies
Knowledge of commercial construction projects and industry-specific practices
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail to oversee complex contractual operations
