We are seeking a commercially-minded and operationally-focused Contracts Manager to join a prominent Wellington-based organization. This role is pivotal in ensuring the seamless delivery of high-quality facilities services across a diverse multi-site portfolio. You will be responsible for the strategic and operational management of vendor performance, ensuring that services such as cleaning, grounds maintenance, waste, and security meet exacting standards for safety, compliance, and value for money. This is an initial 6 month temporary role with the potential to extend.
Job Responsibility:
Performance & Quality: Develop and monitor KPIs/SLAs
conduct regular in-person site inspections and audits to verify service delivery
Contract Lifecycle: Lead contract renewals, variations, and procurement processes for new service providers
Financial Oversight: Manage soft services budgets, validate monthly contractor invoices, and ensure robust cost control
Team Leadership: Provide day-to-day management for a small internal Handyperson team responsible for general maintenance activities
Health & Safety: Ensure all contractors comply with HSWA 2015 obligations, including pre-qualifications, risk documentation, and site inductions
Sustainability: Partner with internal stakeholders to drive waste-reduction initiatives and enhance contractor performance against sustainability targets
