We are seeking an experienced Contract Manager to support end‑to‑end contract lifecycle activities for a growing organization based in San Jose. This role will play a key part in drafting, reviewing, negotiating, and redlining a high volume of commercial agreements while partnering closely with legal, business, and cross‑functional stakeholders. A legal or life sciences background is preferred but not required.
Job Responsibility:
Draft, review, and extensively redline a wide range of commercial agreements including MSAs, NDAs, SOWs, vendor agreements, amendments, and licensing agreements
Manage the full contract lifecycle from intake through execution, renewals, and amendments
Partner with internal legal teams, business leaders, procurement, and external counsel to support contract negotiations and risk assessment
Ensure contracts align with company policies, legal requirements, and business objectives
Track contract status, key terms, obligations, and deadlines using contract management systems
Provide guidance on contract interpretation and compliance matters
Support process improvements related to contracting workflows and templates
Maintain accurate contract files and documentation
Requirements:
4+ years of contract management or contract administration experience
Strong experience with contract review, redlining, and negotiations
Familiarity with commercial contracting best practices and risk mitigation
Legal background or experience supporting legal teams strongly preferred
Exposure to life sciences, biotech, pharma, or regulated industries is a plus
Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
