A San Francisco–based personal injury law firm is seeking an experienced Contracts Manager to oversee the review, negotiation, and administration of contracts supporting firm operations. This is a contract-to-hire opportunity for a detail-oriented professional who enjoys working closely with legal, finance, and leadership teams in a fast-paced environment. The Contracts Manager will be responsible for managing the full contract lifecycle for vendor, service provider, and business agreements. This role serves as a key liaison between internal stakeholders and external parties, ensuring contracts are accurate, compliant, and aligned with firm policies and risk standards.
Job Responsibility:
Manage the full lifecycle of contracts, from intake and review through execution and renewal
Review, draft, revise, and negotiate a wide range of agreements, including vendor, consulting, technology, and professional services contracts
Partner with attorneys, leadership, finance, and operations teams to assess contractual risk and business terms
Ensure contracts comply with applicable laws, firm policies, and risk management standards
Maintain contract records, databases, and tracking systems
Monitor renewal dates, obligations, and performance requirements
Assist with developing and standardizing contract templates and internal processes
Serve as a point of contact for contract-related inquiries and issues
Requirements:
3–6+ years of experience in contract management, contract administration, or legal operations
Prior experience in a law firm, legal services, or professional services environment strongly preferred
Strong understanding of common contract terms, risk allocation, and negotiation principles
Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills
Ability to manage multiple contracts and deadlines in a fast-paced setting
Proficiency with Microsoft Office
experience with contract management systems a plus
Ability to work on-site in the San Francisco office five days per week
