Job Description

We're looking for an exceptional Contracts Manager who takes pride in operational excellence at scale and possesses a curiosity to expand their expertise across new legal areas. You'll own high-volume contracting—primarily vendor agreements, NDAs, partnership agreements, engagement letters, and DPAs—while maximizing our AI-powered contract management capabilities through Evisort. We will also rely on you to build contracting processes, workflows, and training programs to increase efficiency and prepare us for next-level operations. In addition to mastering our commercial engine, you will serve as a key pillar of our corporate governance function by supporting Board of Directors logistics, managing entity compliance, and assisting with stock plan administration as we continue to mature our corporate infrastructure.

Job Responsibility

  • Execute high-volume contracting: Draft, review, and negotiate vendor agreements, NDAs, partnership agreements, engagement letters, and DPAs within established frameworks and playbooks—moving deals efficiently while protecting the business
  • Maximize our tech stack: Own the day-to-day management of Evisort and contract-related gems through Google Gemini, implementing AI-based workflows and features that improve speed and accuracy at scale
  • Build scalable infrastructure: Structure documentation, build processes, and develop resources and trainings to enhance our commercial contracting motion and ensure our contracting function is audit-ready, scalable and drives operational excellence
  • Be the go-to partner: Serve as primary point of contact for business stakeholders across Procurement, IT/Engineering, Finance, and Operations—explaining contract positions, triaging requests, and moving deals forward with urgency and judgment
  • See problems before they happen: Identify process bottlenecks and contract risks proactively, bringing practical solutions that balance legal protection with business needs
  • Support corporate governance and compliance: Manage corporate records and entity filings, coordinate Board of Director and committee meetings, maintain the corporate/compliance calendar, and assist with our stock plan and other corporate projects to ensure our internal governance functions with the rigor and precision of a public company
  • Contribute across the legal team: As a lean team supporting big things, pitch in on adjacent projects—whether special transactions, compliance matters, or other legal operations work

Requirements

  • 5-7 years of contracts management experience with meaningful in-house time at a SaaS or B2B technology company (fintech experience is a plus)
  • High-volume expertise: Proven ability to manage significant deal flow with exceptional attention to detail while keeping sight of business priorities
  • CLM system proficiency: Hands-on experience with contract lifecycle management tools like Evisort, Ironclad, or similar platforms
  • Solid negotiation skills: Ability to work directly with vendor counsel, understand what matters in context, know when to be flexible and when to hold the line
  • Process mindset: Track record of identifying inefficiencies and implementing solutions that scale
  • Corporate governance experience: Prior experience managing corporate records and entity filings, and supporting board-level logistics with a detail-oriented approach–familiarity with stock plan administration is a plus
  • Cross-functional influence: Success building trust with business teams through responsiveness, commercial judgment, and solutions-focused partnership
  • Grit and self-motivation: You roll up your sleeves for work big and small—routine NDAs get the same care as complex vendor negotiations—and you don't wait to be told what needs fixing
  • Bachelor's degree required. JD from an accredited law school or paralegal certificate preferred but not required

Nice to have

  • Maniacal attention to detail: You dig deep into every clause and condition and handle sensitive matters with absolute discretion and precision
  • Sees around corners: You anticipate issues before they surface, see the bigger picture and think strategically about what actually matters, and bring thoughtful, practical solutions rather than just flagging problems
  • Thrives in the dynamic: You adapt when priorities shift and schedules compress, pivoting with speed and grace—you pride yourself on flexibility
  • Genuine passion for craft: You take pride in operational excellence and building systems that work effectively at scale—this isn't just a job, it's how you're wired
  • Comfort with ambiguity: You're willing to figure things out in uncharted territory, working outside strict expertise boundaries when needed
  • Initiative and autonomy: You take ownership of complex matters and prioritize competing deadlines without constant supervision or hand-holding
  • Clarity over legalese: You favor straightforward, concise communication and drafting—no overwrought legal language that obscures rather than clarifies
  • A low-ego, high-impact approach: You jump in wherever the team needs you—whether negotiating a complex partnership or ensuring meticulous recordkeeping—recognizing that administrative precision is just as vital as high-level strategy

What we offer

  • A great 401(k) plan: Our own! Our 401(k) includes a dollar-for-dollar employer match up to 4% of compensation (immediately vested) and $0 plan fees
  • Top-of-the-line health plans, as well as dental and vision insurance
  • Competitive time off and parental leave
  • Addition Wealth: Unlimited access to digital tools, financial professionals, and a knowledge center to help you understand your equity and support your financial wellness
  • Lyra: Enhanced Mental Health Support for Employees and dependents
  • Carrot: Fertility healthcare and family forming benefits
  • Candidly: Student loan resource to help you and your family plan, borrow, and repay student debt
  • Monthly work-from-home stipend
  • quarterly lifestyle stipend
  • Engaging team-building experiences, ranging from virtual social events to team offsites, promoting collaboration and camaraderie
