Job Description:

Are you an experienced Contracts Manager looking to take your career to the next level? Join our client, a leading organisation in the building and construction sector, renowned for delivering exceptional fire safety products and services. With an exciting range of projects on the horizon, we are seeking a detail-oriented Contracts Manager to join our dynamic team.

Job Responsibility:

Review and negotiate all contractual documentation, including main contracts, sub-contracts, and scopes of work
Identify and mitigate onerous terms to protect the organisation from unreasonable risks
Lead negotiations on final accounts to secure appropriate payments and resolve any claims
Maintain a clear log of contractual risks and communicate these throughout the project lifecycle
Act as a primary contact for client-side commercial and legal discussions
Monitor ongoing contractual performance and compliance, advising project teams as needed

Requirements:

Proven experience as a Contracts Manager, Commercial Manager, or Quantity Surveyor in the construction sector, ideally within fire safety or M&E
Strong understanding of construction law and contract forms, including JCT and NEC
Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to interpret complex legal documents
Confident communicator with excellent negotiation and interpersonal skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and contract administration systems
Full UK driving licence
Strong commercial awareness and financial acumen
Ability to self-manage workloads and prioritise effectively while working on multiple projects
Excellent organisational skills and clear, concise communication abilities
