You’ll join a busy ICP and civil engineering business working in partnership with UKPN. The business undertakes an interesting mix of renewable energy connections, large cabling projects and subsea fibre schemes which makes this both an interesting and varied place to work. Reporting to the Operations Director, you'll join the business as a Contracts Manager with broad responsibility for the development and upkeep of high construction standards, site safety, good project management practices and client relationship management. Reporting to you are the businesses Project Managers, each of which have responsibility for their own budget management and site progress.
Job Responsibility:
High level interface between the business and it's key customers
Complete awareness of contract terms and conditions and risk management across the portfolio of work
Ensuring assets are constructed in a safe manner and as designed through the prioritisation of safe working methods
Monthly client and business progress meetings
Progression of site variations
Input at the tendering and bid stage / contract review
Site audits including pre-construction
Aid with closure of corrective actions
Requirements:
Experience and/or qualifications as well as having a working knowledge of current Legislation, Technical Standards & Specifications, Codes of Practice and Recommendations relating to electricity distribution
HV cable installation project experience and knowledge of complementary civil engineering
NEC3 /4, FIDIC, JCT and bespoke contract knowledge
Input into the development and enforcement of best practices
Experience of bid / tender input and contract review
