Job Responsibility
Maintain comprehensive documentation and data for the organization’s renewable energy portfolio as it expands to meet ambitious carbon neutrality goals
Monitor the performance of renewable power plants, including tracking outages and availability
Ensure compliance with key milestones and deliverables for both the organization and its counterparties, meticulously documenting adherence within internal contract management systems
Review and validate ongoing purchase orders, invoicing, and payments, alongside managing Renewable Energy Credit (REC) receipt and retirement processes
Support routine contract administration tasks, such as collateral maintenance, managing the energy contracts mailbox, setting up new vendors, abstracting contract provisions, and filing project status reports
Contribute to sustainability tracking and reporting efforts related to energy usage and renewable energy production
Requirements
BA/BS degree in a relevant field
2+ years of professional experience in a related field, such as contract management, paralegal work, lease accounting, or project administration
At least 1 year of experience with electric power purchase agreements or other energy asset management (specific educational focus in this area can substitute for professional experience)
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, with the ability to navigate, edit, synthesize, update, and organize large datasets
Excellent spoken and written communication skills, with a proven ability to collaborate effectively with diverse colleagues in a dynamic environment
Highly focused, self-motivated, and exceptionally well-organized
Demonstrated strong attention to detail
Nice to have
Experience extracting, conveying, and understanding complex information from contracts
Work experience with an electric utility, energy supplier, project developer, or other energy-related company
Experience working with energy data, including electricity pricing or interval meter data
A solid understanding of corporate renewable energy procurement processes
Advanced knowledge of contract management processes
Understanding of relational database principles and data structures
