Job Description

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Contracts Manager with a strong electrical background to oversee hard services delivery at a large, single commercial site in Camden Town. This is an excellent opportunity for a technically strong facilities management professional, particularly from an electrical engineering background, to take ownership of a flagship site within a growing and well-established FM provider.

Job Responsibility

  • Managing the delivery of all hard services on-site, with a strong emphasis on electrical maintenance and compliance
  • Overseeing electrical PPM and reactive maintenance programmes (LV systems, lighting, emergency systems, etc.)
  • Leading and supporting a team of on-site engineers, including electrical engineers and supervisors
  • Acting as the technical lead for all electrical-related matters on site
  • Ensuring all works are delivered in line with SLA/KPI requirements
  • Managing subcontractors and specialist electrical service providers
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with the on-site client and stakeholders
  • Ensuring full compliance with health & safety regulations and statutory electrical standards
  • Monitoring contract performance, budgets, and producing regular reports

Requirements

  • Recognised qualification in electrical engineering (e.g. City & Guilds, NVQ, or equivalent)
  • Proven experience managing hard services within a single-site or critical environment
  • Strong electrical bias, including knowledge of testing, inspection, and compliance (e.g. 18th Edition)
  • Previous experience as a Contracts Manager / Technical Manager / Hard Services Manager
  • Solid understanding of PPM, statutory compliance, and electrical safety standards
  • Experience managing on-site engineers and specialist subcontractors
  • Excellent client-facing and stakeholder management skills

  • To undertake planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and repair of mechanical and electrical equipment/building fabric within a corporate service environment
  • Being an electrically biased skilled engineer with a sound knowledge of HVAC, building services (water, gas, heating and ventilation, waste), BMS monitoring systems, PPM’s, etc.
  • Having a flexible attitude with a “can do” approach and who is prepared to work outside their skill base to provide a customer based service
