A West Midlands local authority is seeking an experienced Locum Contracts & Procurement Solicitor to join their legal team on an initial 6-month contract. This is a part-time opportunity, offering flexibility alongside a varied and interesting caseload across the council.
Job Responsibility:
Advising on a broad range of commercial contracts and procurement matters
Drafting, reviewing and negotiating contracts for goods, services and works
Supporting client departments on procurement processes and compliance
Advising on contract variations, extensions and terminations
Providing general commercial legal support across multiple service areas
Requirements:
Qualified Solicitor, Barrister or CILEX with local authority experience
Strong background in contracts and procurement law
Comfortable handling a mixed caseload with minimal supervision
