Job Description:

We are looking for an experienced Contracts Attorney/Lawyer to join our team on a contract basis in Portland, Maine. In this role, you will handle a variety of agreements, including vendor contracts and SaaS reseller and referral agreements. This position offers an excellent opportunity to work in a dynamic environment with a focus on commercial contracts.

Job Responsibility:

  • Draft, review, and negotiate vendor contracts to ensure compliance and alignment with company policies
  • Manage SaaS reseller and referral agreements, addressing any legal complexities as they arise
  • Provide legal advice and guidance on contract-related matters to support business operations
  • Collaborate with internal teams to develop and implement effective contract strategies
  • Conduct risk assessments for contractual obligations and propose solutions to mitigate potential issues
  • Ensure all contracts adhere to applicable laws and regulations
  • Maintain accurate records of contract negotiations and finalized agreements
  • Stay updated on industry trends and legal developments relevant to commercial contracts
  • Assist in resolving disputes or conflicts related to contractual terms

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in drafting, reviewing, and negotiating commercial contracts
  • Familiarity with SaaS reseller and referral agreements
  • Strong understanding of legal principles governing vendor contracts
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to communicate legal concepts clearly to non-legal stakeholders
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy in contract management
  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree and active attorney licensure
