We are looking for an experienced Contracts and Licensing Paralegal to join our client's dynamic in-house team in Tucson, Arizona. This hybrid role combines paralegal expertise with administrative support, offering an excellent opportunity to contribute to a broad range of corporate legal functions. As part of the organization, you will play a key role in managing contracts, licensing agreements, and related legal processes. This is an in-office role in Tucson, with some potential for remote once you are trained and ramped up. Job Responsibility:
Draft, review, and manage commercial contracts and licensing agreements to ensure compliance with legal standards
Conduct thorough due diligence on intellectual property matters and licensing requirements
Collaborate with internal teams to support civil litigation efforts and case management
Maintain and update case management software to streamline legal processes and document organization
Assist with intellectual property-related tasks, including licensing and trademark management
Provide administrative support to the legal department, including scheduling and correspondence
Research and analyze legal issues to provide insights and recommendations to the team
Ensure all contracts and agreements align with company policies and regulatory requirements
Monitor deadlines and renewals for contracts and licenses, ensuring timely actions
Support the preparation of reports and documentation for internal and external stakeholders
Requirements:
At least 3 years of experience as a paralegal specializing in commercial contracts and licensing with a law firm or in-house legal department
Proficiency in civil litigation and familiarity with case management software
Knowledge of commercial contracts and intellectual property licensing
Demonstrated ability to conduct detailed due diligence and legal research
Excellent organizational and administrative skills, with attention to detail
Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, for interaction with teams and stakeholders
Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment
Paralegal certification or equivalent legal training is preferred
