The Contract Administrator will provide cross-package commercial coordination and day-to-day support across the offshore windfarm project. The role acts as a central link between the Principal Commercial Manager and the wider package commercial teams, ensuring alignment on contractual, procurement, legal, reporting, insurance-related and other activities. The position supports package Lead Commercial Managers, provides cover during periods of absence, and contributes to the overall commercial performance and delivery of the project. This role offers significant development opportunities, with a clear pathway toward a future Lead Commercial Manager position.
Job Responsibility:
Commercial & Contractual Support - Support Lead Commercial Managers across all project packages with contract administration, variations, payments, claims management, and commercial correspondence
Prepare commercial documents, drafting notes, presentations, and analyses for internal and external stakeholders
Assist with procurement and tendering activities, including documentation, evaluations, clarifications, and workflow coordination
Coordinate reviews of contractual deliverables, insurance obligations, securities, guarantees, and other commercial compliance items
Reporting & Governance - Own regular commercial reporting cycles: progress, risks, budgets, KPIs, and cross-package commercial dashboards
Provide ad-hoc reports, summaries, or presentations required by senior management
Maintain alignment and communication between the Principal Commercial Manager and the wider commercial team
Cross-Package Coordination - Facilitate consistent processes, templates, controls, and standards across all packages
Ensure commercial issues raised by package teams are escalated, tracked, and resolved
Interface with legal, finance, engineering, project controls, and insurance teams on commercial matters
Operational & Team Support - Provide cover for package commercial leads during leave or peak workload periods
Support meetings, workshops, audits, and negotiations where required
Coordinate lessons learned and contribute to continuous improvement of commercial practices
Other Responsibilities - Travel to suppliers, project offices, manufacturing facilities, and offshore/on-site locations as needed
Adapt to evolving project needs and undertake additional tasks aligned with professional development
Requirements:
Experience in commercial, contract management, project controls, or procurement roles (preferably in energy, construction, or infrastructure)
Strong drafting skills and high-quality document preparation capability
Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
High proficiency with presentations (PowerPoint), reporting tools, and MS Office
Ability to work across multiple packages or workstreams simultaneously
Strong analytical and organisational skills, with attention to detail
Willingness to travel and adapt to changing project priorities
Nice to have:
Experience in offshore wind, renewables, or large infrastructure projects
Familiarity with NEC, FIDIC, or similar industry-standard forms of contract
Previous exposure to insurance, claims, risk management, or procurement processes
Interest in developing toward a Lead Commercial Manager role
Experience in multi-national or matrix project environments
