We are looking for an experienced Contracts Administrator to support software contracting activities for a detail-oriented services organization in Chicago, Illinois. This Long-term Contract position is ideal for someone who brings strong judgment in reviewing, drafting, and negotiating software-related agreements and can work effectively within established contracting standards. The role centers on SaaS and other software arrangements, with a strong emphasis on producing clear document revisions and helping move agreements forward efficiently.
Job Responsibility
Review a high volume of software and SaaS agreements to identify contractual risks, business concerns, and areas requiring revision
Prepare, revise, and negotiate software contract language to align with organizational requirements and acceptable legal and commercial terms
Mark up agreement drafts in Microsoft Word, creating precise redlines that clearly reflect proposed edits and negotiated changes
Partner with internal stakeholders to support the contract review process and help advance agreements through completion
Apply prior software contracting experience to evaluate terms related to licensing, services, pricing, and related obligations
Follow established internal guidance and contracting procedures while adapting quickly to team expectations and review standards
Requirements
Demonstrated experience in contract administration with a concentration on software agreements
Proven ability to review, draft, and negotiate contracts involving software or SaaS offerings
Strong knowledge of contract management practices and commercial negotiation principles
Hands-on experience preparing and editing redlined agreements in Microsoft Word
Familiarity with contract pricing concepts and related commercial terms
Ability to assess contractual language carefully and communicate revisions clearly and professionally
