We are seeking an experienced Contracts Administrator to join our team on a contract basis, supporting a non-profit organization in Reston, Virginia. In this role, you will oversee the drafting, review, and management of a variety of commercial contracts—including those related to trademark matters—ensuring compliance with organizational standards and legal requirements. The position requires a detail-oriented individual with strong expertise in contract management, proven experience handling trademark issues, and the ability to collaborate effectively with multiple stakeholders.
Job Responsibility:
Draft, review, and manage commercial contracts to ensure accuracy and compliance with organizational policies
Collaborate with internal teams and stakeholders to negotiate contract terms and resolve any discrepancies
Maintain and organize contract records, ensuring all documentation is up-to-date and easily accessible
Provide guidance and support to departments on contract-related matters, including interpretation and implementation
Monitor contract deadlines and obligations, ensuring timely execution and fulfillment of requirements
Conduct thorough risk assessments and identify potential issues within contract provisions
Stay informed about legal and regulatory changes that may impact contract management processes
Assist with audits and reporting related to contracts, ensuring transparency and accountability
Support the Vice President, Legal, and other leadership roles with contract-related tasks and projects
Ensure adherence to best practices for contract lifecycle management within the organization
Requirements:
Proven experience in contract administration or management, preferably within a non-profit or similar industry
Strong knowledge of commercial contracts and legal terminology
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
Ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with various stakeholders
Proficiency in contract management systems and software
Demonstrated ability to analyze and interpret complex contract language
Familiarity with legal and regulatory requirements related to contracts
Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent work experience
