The Contractor Technician is responsible for operating and maintaining various site machinery and equipment used in construction activities. This includes forklifts, telehandlers, water jet systems, small trucks, and other light-to-medium construction equipment. The role ensures safe, efficient, and compliant operation of machinery to support daily site operations.
Job Responsibility:
Operate site machinery such as forklifts, telehandlers, water jets, and small trucks
Perform basic maintenance checks and report any mechanical issues
Assist with material handling, loading/unloading, and site logistics
Follow safety protocols and ensure machinery is used in accordance with site regulations
Support construction teams with equipment-related tasks as needed
Maintain cleanliness and proper storage of equipment
Record daily usage and report fuel or service needs
Requirements:
Secondary school education, preferably in a technical or construction-related field
Valid operator licenses/certifications for relevant machinery (e.g., forklift, telehandler)
Minimum 1 year of experience operating construction equipment
Basic mechanical knowledge and troubleshooting skills
