Job Description

We’re an innovative legal AI startup on a mission to revolutionise ESG litigation through intelligent automation and advanced AI solutions. We’re looking for a skilled Contractor Software Engineer with a strong foundation in cloud infrastructure and Python development to help build and deploy the first version of our groundbreaking product. Commitment: 20-25 hours per week (flexible hours, remote).

Job Responsibility

  • Set up, configure, and maintain cloud infrastructure to support scalable AI-driven big data workflows
  • Establish and manage robust DevOps processes, including CI/CD pipelines, monitoring, and security
  • Set up, develop, and maintain the Python-based technical stack, supporting efficient data processing and AI model integration
  • Collaborate closely with the founders and design partners to ensure the infrastructure aligns with product goals and technical requirements

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in software engineering with a focus on cloud infrastructure and Python development
  • Proven experience building and managing data engineering workflows (Airflow/Perfect) and scalable applications
  • Solid knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS preferred
  • Azure or GCP also okay), Docker containerisation, and BaaS platforms (e.g. Supabase, Firebase)
  • Familiarity with integration and creation of enterprise-level REST APIs
  • Familiarity with AI application development, including integrating and deploying machine learning models into production environments
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently in a dynamic early startup environment

Nice to have

  • Experience in legal tech or similar regulated professional service industries
  • Exposure to emerging AI frameworks and tools (e.g., LangChain, Hugging Face, OpenAI APIs)
