On behalf of our client Randstad is seeking a Contractor-side Project Manager to oversee high-profile commercial projects. This is a dynamic opportunity to manage large-scale builds and infrastructure projects. The Role: As a Project Manager, you will be responsible for the full lifecycle of commercial projects, focusing on cost and time control, and effective people management. Reporting to the Construction Manager, you will lead a diverse project team, ensuring excellence from site measure to final handover.
Job Responsibility:
Cost and Financial Management: Monitor and report on project costs, margin estimates, and subcontract negotiations while achieving strict budget goals
Time Control: Ensure project programs are achieved within specified time frames, optimising time-saving advantages and assisting with critical path networks
Contract Administration: Review and approve contracts, interpret specific agreements, and ensure total compliance with acts, regulations, and codes of practice
Leadership: Manage employee performance, identify labour resource requirements, and provide professional guidance to staff and apprentices
Stakeholder Relations: Maintain strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers, ensuring smooth communication throughout the project lifecycle
Requirements:
Extensive experience in construction project management or a similar senior leadership capacity with a commercial construction company
Diploma in Building and Construction, Business, or Project Management
Excellent computer proficiency, including specialised construction packages and Microsoft Office
A current Driver’s Licence and White Card are essential
Strong administrative and estimating skills, coupled with a deep understanding of standard contracts and subcontract agreements
