Job Responsibility:
Escort contractors throughout secure areas, ensuring safe, compliant movement at all times
Manage access control, verify passes and maintain a strong awareness of who is on site
Meet and greet visitors and contractors, offering clear direction and a professional welcome
Protect people, property and assets by monitoring activity and reporting concerns promptly
Support the Security Control Room and wider security operation
Respond to fire and intruder system activations and investigate unusual conditions
Act as a first responder during emergencies, liaising with control rooms and emergency services
Ensure PPE compliance and prioritise safety for everyone on site
Provide first aid when required
Maintain strong communication with the security team and occupier service teams
Deliver thorough shift handovers and respond to ad‑hoc requests from site management
Requirements:
To hold a current DS SIA Licence
Strong customer‑facing experience and the confidence to engage with a wide range of people
A proactive mindset with the ability to spot issues before they escalate
High attention to detail and strong observational skills
The ability to work independently while being a supportive part of a wider team
Adaptability and calm decision‑making in a fast‑changing environment
Stamina to remain in position for periods of time and handle occasional tasks
