Randstad Education is searching for an organized, high-energy Primary School Teacher to step into a stable, 6-week minimum cover placement at a fantastic local school. This role is the perfect stepping stone to build strong school relationships and unlock future permanent opportunities, while still keeping control of your schedule. While this specific placement runs on a block basis, Randstad's intuitive booking app allows you to easily pick up extra shifts at other local schools to match your lifestyle.

Job Responsibility

  • Lead the charge on planning, delivering, and assessing engaging lessons
  • Tailor your approach to meet diverse student needs, problem-solving on the spot if preset work isn't available
  • Partner closely with classroom Teaching Assistants to optimize student support
  • Provide clear, timely marking and feedback to keep pupils moving forward
  • Maintain robust behavior management to foster an inviting, productive learning space

Requirements

  • A relevant degree along with formal teaching qualifications (PGCE/UK QTS is highly desirable
  • ECTs are warmly encouraged to apply)
  • Proven history managing and teaching a primary classroom
  • A valid, clear Enhanced DBS check
  • A positive attitude and a genuine commitment to student development
