Job Description

Robert Half is currently seeking a Contract Systems Administrator to join our client's IT department. As a Contract Systems Administrator, you will be responsible for the configuration, maintenance, and management of the organization's computer systems, servers, and network infrastructure. This is a contract position that offers an exciting opportunity to work with a reputable company.

Job Responsibility

  • System Maintenance: Perform routine system maintenance, including software updates, patch management, and regular system backups to ensure system stability and security
  • Server Administration: Manage and maintain server hardware and software, including Windows Server, Linux, or other relevant operating systems
  • Network Management: Oversee network infrastructure, ensuring optimal performance, security, and reliability. This may include switches, routers, firewalls, and wireless access points
  • Security Monitoring: Implement and monitor security protocols to safeguard systems and data, detect and respond to security breaches, and conduct regular security audits
  • User Support: Provide technical support to end-users, assisting with system-related issues, troubleshooting, and offering guidance on best practices
  • Documentation: Maintain detailed records of system configurations, changes, and updates to facilitate system troubleshooting and auditing
  • Capacity Planning: Assess system performance and capacity, making recommendations for upgrades or enhancements to meet organizational needs
  • Backup and Disaster Recovery: Develop and implement backup and disaster recovery plans to ensure data integrity and continuity of operations
  • Vendor Collaboration: Collaborate with technology vendors to ensure timely procurement of hardware and software, and manage vendor relationships
