We are seeking an experienced Contract Supervisor to lead and support a team of engineers across multiple sites in the South East. This is a predominantly remote role, with regular travel to client offices and operational sites as required. You’ll play a critical role in ensuring planned and reactive maintenance activities are delivered safely, compliantly, and in line with contractual SLAs — acting as the key link between engineers, subcontractors, administrators, and the Contract Manager.
Job Responsibility:
Supervise planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive works in line with schedules on SimPRO and client platforms
Allocate and coordinate work for on-site and mobile engineers
Manage specialist subcontractors on site, ensuring works are completed safely, on time, and to specification
Proactively escalate risks to statutory compliance, SLA delivery, or resourcing to the Contract Manager
Ensure full compliance with relevant Health & Safety legislation
Ensure site-specific Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS) are in place, reviewed at least every six months, and adhered to
Raise and control permits to work and access permits
Identify hazards, isolate unsafe plant where required, and ensure equipment is made safe
Ensure engineers fully complete SimPRO instruction sets, including photographic evidence
Review and upload subcontractor service sheets and documentation
Investigate incidents or plant failures and produce clear, factual technical reports with lessons learned
Maintain site logbooks, audits, drawings, and plant documentation
Support the Contract Manager with monthly client reporting
Maintain full operational knowledge of plant and services across assigned sites
Carry out plant inspections, fault-finding, and operational checks
Review plant run times and settings to identify energy efficiency and environmental improvements
Monitor BMS systems and report faults or alarms
Lead, motivate, and support engineering teams
Deliver toolbox talks, inductions, and technical training
Support development of engineers, including Authorised Person training where applicable
Promote professional communication, presentation, and collaboration at all times
Requirements:
City & Guilds Level II / III (or equivalent) in Electrical or Mechanical discipline
18th Edition I.E.E
Strong Building Services / M&E background
Excellent knowledge of safe electrical working practices
Proven experience supervising engineers or leading technical teams
