Job Description

MassMedia Marketing + Advertising + PR is a women-owned, integrated agency partnering with founder-led, mid-market, and private-equity-backed brands to drive growth through smart strategy, earned media, and results-driven storytelling. We are seeking an experienced Contract PR Senior Level Strategist to support client strategy, executive positioning, and earned media programs across multiple industries.

Job Responsibility

  • Develop comprehensive PR and communications strategies aligned with client business goals
  • Lead executive positioning, thought leadership, and media strategy development
  • Identify strong story angles, messaging frameworks, and news hooks
  • Guide earned media strategy across regional and national outlets
  • Support crisis communications, issues management, and reputation strategy when needed
  • Collaborate with internal PR managers, account teams, and clients
  • Provide strategic oversight and direction on media outreach, not just pitching
  • Participate in client meetings as a strategic advisor when needed

Requirements

  • 8–15+ years of PR or communications experience (agency and/or in-house)
  • Proven background in strategic PR, not only media relations
  • Experience with executive thought leadership and C-suite communications
  • Strong understanding of earned media, brand credibility, and narrative building
  • Ability to quickly understand complex businesses and industries
  • Confident client-facing communicator and advisor
  • Organized, responsive, and comfortable working in a fast-paced agency environment

Nice to have

Experience in industries such as real estate, construction, healthcare, legal, hospitality, or consumer brands is a plus

  • Own the end-to-end social channel strategy for Dove US across platforms (Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, Pinterest, Reddit and emerging channels), defining clear roles, KPIs, and growth goals by channel
  • Translate global social strategy into locally relevant, culturally sharp US execution
  • Oversee development of social-first content by channel, ensuring work feels native, culturally relevant, and unmistakably Dove
  • Lead and evolve community management to bring new people into the brand, ensuring Dove shows up authentically, responsibly, and in line with brand values
  • Manage and inspire agency partners, setting clear direction, expectations, and ways of working
  • Collaborate closely with PR, Influencer, Brand, Media, Legal, and Global Social teams to deliver integrated social programs and always protect the Dove look, tone, and feel
  • Oversee and lead content calendar that supports campaigns, product launches, and creator collaborations while building in social-first moments that cultivate brand love
