The Contracts Manager is responsible for overseeing all contractual aspects of sub-contractor construction contracts. This includes sub-contractor compliance with Company & established Project policies, legal requirements, and construction standards. This position will be responsible for contract development, administration, and contract close out including claims and dispute resolution.
Job Responsibility:
Draft, review, and negotiate contracts for various construction disciplines
Draft, review, and formalize contract annexes for specific requirements of the construction projects
Collaborate with Project Management, Construction Management, legal, and others on contact related issues
Manage change orders, amendments, and close-out
Routine monitoring of contractor performance ensuring compliance with scope, schedule, budget, etc.
Manage chains, disputes, and conflict resolution in collaboration with Project Management, Legal, Finance, etc.
Provide routine reporting on contract status, risk, compliance, etc.
Various other administrative and clerical duties as assigned related to contract management
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Law, Engineering, Construction Management, or related field
Minimum five years of experience in contract management
Construction purchasing experience required
Must be proficient in Microsoft Office
Must have excellent organizational and communication skills
Must be able to work weekends and long hours in a high-pressure working environment
Must be accessible at any time for emergencies
Requires frequent bending, stooping and lifting
Must be able to sit for extended periods of time
Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds occasionally
