Job Description:

I’m seeking an experienced iOS Engineer to join a high-impact Central Government project on an initial 3 month contract. This is an opportunity to contribute to a meaningful digital service used at scale, working within a collaborative, delivery-focused team.

Job Responsibility:

  • Play a key role in the design, development, and delivery of a native iOS application as part of a Central Government digital programme
  • Build robust, secure, and user-focused features, aligned with public sector standards and best practices

Requirements:

  • Strong commercial experience developing native iOS applications using Swift
  • Proven experience working on Central Government projects (essential)
  • Familiarity with Government Digital Service (GDS) standards and accessibility requirements
  • Experience working in agile, multidisciplinary teams
  • Strong understanding of secure coding practices and data protection considerations

Nice to have:

  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automated testing for iOS
  • Knowledge of performance optimisation and scalability in mobile apps
  • Previous experience delivering services to large user bases
  • Current SC is a massive advantage
