Job Description

Carex is partnering with a healthtech industry partner to hire a Contract Instructional Designer. This role is responsible for creating engaging, scalable learning experiences that drive adoption of a digital care platform. The Contract Instructional Designer will translate complex product capabilities and healthcare workflows into intuitive, user-friendly content that empowers both customers and internal teams. This individual will leverage modern instructional design practices, including the utilization of AI tools to enhance and accelerate the creation of learning content, ensuring high-quality, personalized, and efficient educational experiences. This role collaborates cross-functionally to embed learning directly into the product experience and support a seamless customer journey.

Job Responsibility

  • Design and deliver end-to-end learning experiences that support platform adoption, including onboarding, in-product guidance, and ongoing education resources
  • Develop high-quality, multi-format learning content such as short-form videos, AI-assisted content, in-app guides, walkthroughs, knowledge articles, eLearning modules, and job aids
  • Translate complex technical features and healthcare workflows into clear, intuitive, and actionable learning experiences for a variety of user personas
  • Leverage AI tools and technologies to enhance content creation, streamline development processes, and improve personalization and scalability of learning experiences
  • Embed learning directly into the product by partnering with Product and Engineering teams to deliver contextual, in-app education aligned to user actions and feature releases
  • Build and maintain a scalable learning ecosystem, including learning centers and knowledge bases, to enable self-service and reduce dependency on support teams
  • Partner cross-functionally with Product, Customer Success, Support, and Implementation teams to ensure alignment with customer needs and platform evolution
  • Measure learning effectiveness using data, analytics, and feedback to continuously improve content and drive better user outcomes

Requirements

  • 5+ years of instructional design experience, preferably supporting SaaS or enterprise software products
  • Strong foundation in instructional design methodologies and adult learning principles
  • Demonstrated ability to simplify complex technical concepts into clear, user-friendly content
  • Experience creating diverse learning assets including video, in-app guidance, eLearning modules, and written documentation
  • Proficiency with content creation tools such as Articulate 360, Storyline, Captivate, Camtasia, or similar platforms
  • Experience leveraging AI tools to support content development, improve efficiency, and enhance learner engagement
  • Familiarity with learning management systems (LMS), knowledge bases, or similar platforms
  • Strong collaboration and project management skills in fast-paced, cross-functional environments
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a focus on clarity and usability
