Our client is seeking a Contract HR Operations Specialist / HR Generalist for a 60-day engagement to provide tactical HR support and help shift administrative responsibilities away from HR leadership so they can focus on more strategic priorities. This role is best suited for someone with strong HR operations/generalist experience, hands-on Workday expertise, and the ability to work effectively with both senior leadership and frontline/manufacturing employees.
Job Responsibility:
Manage HRIS transactions in Workday, including: Creating requisitions
Processing job changes
Supporting employee movement workflows
Assisting with recall-from-layoff transactions
Following established scripts and SOPs for consistency and accuracy
Assist with exit interviews and related offboarding processes
Handle fraudulent unemployment claims in ADP by collecting and submitting required information
Gather information related to employee complaints and escalate appropriately to HR leadership
Support common policy and employee questions, including leave-related inquiries, within a unionized employee population
Partner with HR leadership and the HR Business Partner to ensure smooth day-to-day HR operations
Requirements:
Strong experience in HR generalist and/or HR operations roles
Recent experience in tactical, hands-on HR support
Strong Workday experience
Ability to follow established processes, workflows, scripts, and SOPs
Strong attention to detail and commitment to precision
Excellent communication skills with the ability to work across organizational levels
