Job Description

I am seeking a detail-oriented Contract Accountant to provide short-term support during a busy period, focusing on annual audit preparation and financial statement review. This is a hands-on contract position supporting the finance team during a key reporting and audit phase. You will work closely with the outgoing incumbent during a brief handover period before they commence unexpected annual leave.

Job Responsibility

  • Support the annual audit process
  • Review and validate annual financial statements
  • Populate and format financial statements into formal documentation
  • Prepare and maintain supporting schedules and reconciliations
  • Review and verify bank transfers and transactions
  • Ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance across all financial records

Requirements

  • Previous experience in a similar accounting or audit role
  • Strong attention to detail with a keen eye for accuracy
  • Comfortable working independently in a short-term, fast-paced assignment
  • Effective communicator, able to engage during a quick handover period
  • CA qualification is not required, but practical experience is essential
