Job Description

As Contract Delivery Manager, reporting to the Contract Director, you will manage a talented team of 5 Project Managers and 4 Supervisors across the Northern EPN region. You will handle a considerable annual budget of £5m in revenue. Your scope of work will involve diverse projects, including substation upgrades, new connections, asset replacement, and maintenance of LV - 33kV assets. You will also undertake the important task of undergrounding overhead lines in areas of exceptional natural beauty. You will be the primary point of contact for clients on both a commercial and operational level, ensuring efficient programming and safe work delivery across the project team.

Job Responsibility

  • Supervision of project managers and supervisors, ensuring efficiency in project delivery
  • Day-to-day management of project sites and securing purchase orders in a timely manner
  • Ensuring Project Managers meet monthly achievement targets and efficiently manage cash flow
  • Proactive engagement in promoting continuous improvement and innovation
  • Closely collaborate with the support team and local Safety and Production Management staff to monitor progress
  • Monitor KPIs, provide accurate data for monthly reporting, and establish excellent relationships with key contract stakeholders
  • Provide expert advice to the team on contract delivery matters and ensure smooth resolution of potential issues

Requirements

  • Proven experience in a Senior Project Management position in power distribution engineering
  • ONC/HNC Electrical Engineering preferred
  • C&G 232 or equivalent
  • IOSH Managing Safely
  • Experience with contract KPI management and commercial targets through a team of project managers
  • Expert knowledge in work measurement, payment application, and subcontractor payment certification
  • Demonstrable experience in implementing successful improvement measures
  • IT proficiency, particularly in Microsoft Office package
  • A full UK driving licence
