Job Responsibility

  • Manage end-to-end contract administration, including intake, drafting, submission, tracking, and execution of a high volume of agreements
  • Monitor and track requisition requests from submission through financial approval and PO creation
  • Create and submit contract and financial requisitions using SAP/Ariba and Coupa/Spend Source
  • Research vendors to confirm active status
  • manage new supplier submissions and updates as needed
  • Draft and route contracts such as Non-Disclosure Agreements (NDAs), Scopes of Work (SOWs), and Change Orders for review and negotiation
  • Serve as liaison between BioMarin, internal business partners, and external vendors to facilitate contract execution
  • Build strong working relationships with cross-functional stakeholders
  • Coordinate complex workflows across Procurement, Finance, and Legal to ensure timely progression of tasks
  • Engage cross-functionally to assess contracting needs, obligations, and revisions

Requirements

  • Prior experience in contract management or contracts administration
  • Strong working knowledge of SAP/Ariba and Coupa/Spend Source
  • Comfortable navigating ambiguity and complex systems
  • Ability to work autonomously, troubleshoot issues, and proactively move work forward
  • Strong attention to detail with excellent proofreading and editing skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and database/document management systems
  • Ability to manage a heavy workload, prioritize effectively, and meet aggressive timelines
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Customer-service oriented with the ability to work effectively with internal stakeholders and external vendors

  • Experience within a large law firm or in-house legal department of a public company
  • Experience in biotech, pharma, medical device, or other contract-intensive industries
  • Familiarity with SpringCM
