Job Description

We are looking for a Contract Administration Manager for a top media & entertainment company hybrid out of their Burbank, CA offices!

Job Responsibility

  • Handle and/or assist other team members with contract administration for several series for the Company for both network and streamers
  • Set up payments for writer’s rooms for series following both ATL talent agreements and WGA rules
  • Communicate effectively with talent reps regarding payment schedules and providing answers as needed regarding payments, etc.
  • Correspond with series line producers, production coordinators and accountants
  • Liaise with studio production regarding directors, writers and ATL talent schedules and payroll
  • Handle all aspects of Episodic Director deals from negotiation through payment

Requirements

  • Be able to navigate a fast-paced environment and seamlessly handle multiple tasks concurrently
  • Be a well-organized individual who has strong communication skills, excellent judgment, is a self-starter and has an ability to work with a high level of detail and complexity
  • Have experience and knowledge of studio Business Affairs agreements and contracts
  • be able to read and comprehend deal points and entertainment contracts
  • Be able to create and maintain strong working relationships with studio personnel across departments, production personnel and talent reps
  • Work cohesively and collaboratively within the Contract Administration team
  • Assist junior team members with various tasks including WGA deal memos, WGA worklists, piecemeal payments and ensure they are handled in a timely manner
  • Keep apprised of status of ALL series being produced to provide coverage if needed
  • Work with Contract Administration Start Paperwork team to get start paperwork for all ATL talent in a timely and efficient manner
  • Be able to pivot and adapt to quickly changing production schedules and writer’s room schedules
  • Be familiar with WGA and DGA Guild Rules to ensure payments are following Guild mandates
  • Be a resource to Business Affairs in regard to Guild Rules and questions about payments
  • Raise concerns and issues with payments, talent inquiries and schedules with the appropriate department – Business Affairs, Labor, Production, Finance, etc.
  • Attend designated meetings to keep apprised of current and upcoming series
  • Be adaptable and anticipate the needs of the department in order to assist team members
  • Be proficient with Microsoft Word and Excel and have experience using a variety of database systems (BLAST, IDeA , SAP and AirTable experience preferred)
