Job Description

The Continuous Improvement Engineer co-designs and manages local plant improvement programs based on strategic plans and shapes and implements the Operational Excellence programs from SIG Group at plant level. Efficiently and effectively performing analyses of processes throughout the entire chain in order to identify problems and/or areas for improvement, to solve, implement and monitor sustainable success. This is not restricted to purely technical, factory related projects.

Job Responsibility

  • Cascading the Operations strategy (3-5 years) to an Operational Excellence annual plan, objectives and KPIs at Plant level in collaboration and coordination with the Plant Manager and the Operational Excellence team of SIG Group
  • Independently drawing up a detailed project plan with the appropriate actions, scope determination, milestones, RACI, deliverables and resources per program or project
  • In consultation with the Plant Manager and other stakeholders (internal departments), composing project teams
  • Setting up and defining KPIs and cascading them across the different organizational levels so that employees can take action based on the KPIs
  • Proactively and independently signalling improvement options within the regular production process
  • Responsible for designing and setting up local and/or global LSS training programs and (in)planning for the Operations organization

Requirements

  • Bachelor qualification (e.g. Technical Business Administration, Industrial Automation)
  • Ideally Black Belt certified
  • At least 3 years of relevant working experience in production/industrial environment
  • Very good command of Excel, PowerBI and LSS methodologies and tools
  • Good command of the Dutch and English language in word and writing
  • International travel (10%)
