Job Description:

We are hiring for a world-renowned logistics and transport company expanding our operations in Ontario, specifically in the Ajax area. We seek a Continuous Improvement Engineer who embraces these core values and is dedicated to driving efficiency, productivity, and customer satisfaction. In a dynamic and constantly evolving environment, you will be in charge of optimizing logistics processes and implementing continuous improvement tools (Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen) in order to improve the overall performance of the site.

Job Responsibility:

  • Identification and analysis of opportunities for improvement: Perform process audits, collect and analyze production data to identify sources of productivity losses
  • Implementation and management of optimization projects: Develop and implement innovative solutions to reduce costs, improve delivery times and optimize the use of resources
  • Training and support for teams: Design and facilitate training on continuous improvement methodologies (Lean, Kaizen, Six Sigma) and provide support to employees in the application of these tools
  • Performance monitoring and measurement: Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs), evaluate the gains made, and adjust actions as necessary
  • Cross-departmental collaboration: Work closely with logistics, production, maintenance, and quality departments to ensure effective implementation of improvement initiatives
  • Technology watch and benchmarking: Monitor trends and best practices in terms of continuous improvement, propose solutions inspired by the best practices on the market
  • Promotion of a culture of continuous improvement: Raise awareness and involve all staff in a proactive approach to improving processes and operational performance.

Requirements:

  • Mastery of Lean Manufacturing tools (5S, Kaizen, SMED, VSM, etc.)
  • Knowledge of Six Sigma methodologies Green Belt or Black Belt certification is preferred
  • Ability to analyze data and propose concrete optimization solutions
  • Excellent project management skills
  • Ability to work in a team and to support change
  • Rigors, analytical skills and strength of proposal
  • Proficiency in computer tools (advanced Excel, SQL, Power BI is a plus).
