We are seeking to appoint a Continuing Airworthiness Manager (CAM) to join our team. The Continuing Airworthiness Manager (CAM) is accountable to and reports directly to the Accountable Manager and is responsible for the leadership, management and supervision of the Continuing Airworthiness (CAW) function. The CAM is the UK CAA approved nominated post holder in accordance with CAMO.A.305 and holds overall responsibility for ensuring that all aircraft within the Company’s control remain airworthy and are maintained in accordance with approved maintenance programmes, regulatory requirements and Company procedures. The CAM will lead the CAMO team and ensure that all continuing airworthiness activities are carried out safely, effectively and in full compliance with applicable regulations.
Job Responsibility
Leadership, management and supervision of the CAMO team
Establishment and development of the Company’s Continuing Airworthiness Policy and CAME
Ensuring the CAMO department is audit ready at all times
Oversight and approval of Aircraft Maintenance Programmes (AMPs) and analysis of their effectiveness
Ensuring all maintenance is carried out by appropriately approved Part 145 organisations to the required standards
Management of relationships with maintenance organisations and associated contracts
Ensuring compliance with Part CAMO, Part M and all applicable UK CAA regulations
Management of Airworthiness Directives, Mandatory and Non‑Mandatory modifications and repairs
Oversight of defect management and rectification processes
Liaison with the UK CAA as required
Ensuring effective operation of the Company’s Safety Management System (SMS) and Compliance Monitoring System (CMS) within CAMO activities
Promoting a positive safety culture, including Just Culture and proactive hazard identification
Development and delivery of training and competency requirements for CAMO personnel
Requirements
At least 5 years’ relevant experience
Comprehensive knowledge of UK aviation regulations (Part CAMO, Part M, Part 145)
Aircraft maintenance and continuing airworthiness principles
Safety Management Systems and compliance monitoring
Strong understanding of maintenance standards and safe operating practices
Experience in management and leadership of technical teams
Degree in a relevant engineering discipline or aircraft maintenance qualification (Part 66 or equivalent), or Equivalent combination of additional experience (typically 10+ years) in aircraft maintenance and/or continuing airworthiness
Strong leadership and organisational capability
Effective communication and stakeholder management skills
High level of attention to detail and analytical ability
Competent IT skills
Ability to obtain and maintain Security Clearance (SC) / Counter Terrorist Check (CTC)
