Your mission is to ensure the required level of safety for the ATR fleet by leading continued airworthiness activities, in coordination with the airworthiness authorities (EASA / FAA / TCCA). The position holder operates under delegation from the Head of Airworthiness for the authorization of aircraft operations and deliveries within the scope of ATR DOA privileges.
Job Responsibility:
Ensure the required level of safety for the ATR fleet by leading continued airworthiness activities, in coordination with the airworthiness authorities (EASA / FAA / TCCA)
Operate under delegation from the Head of Airworthiness for the authorization of aircraft operations and deliveries within the scope of ATR DOA privileges
Airworthiness Surveillance: Collect, analyze and assess all occurrences that may affect airworthiness or safety
Report to the authorities any occurrences presenting a potential unsafe condition
Conduct investigations to identify root causes and define the corresponding corrective actions
Technical Coordination and Action Management: Lead and coordinate activities involving ATR experts
Define the strategy for handling occurrences and determine the technical, financial and organizational means required
Monitor the implementation of corrective actions on the in‑service fleet and on the Final Assembly Line (FAL)
Authority Relationship Management: Prepare, update and present Airworthiness Review Sheets (ARS) during Airworthiness Review Meetings (ARM)
Negotiate ATR’s positions with suppliers, partners and EASA
Prepare Airworthiness Directive (AD) proposals and support safety communications (AOM) to operators
Support to Operators and DOA Activities: Respond to operators’ queries related to continued airworthiness and safety topics
Prepare and validate DOA-approved documents under delegation from the Head of Airworthiness
Contribute to Operators Conferences and Tech Connections
Support to Aircraft Deliveries and Commercial Campaigns: Analyze and validate non-conformities using a transversal, multi‑disciplinary approach
Support sales campaigns and foreign authority validations regarding continued airworthiness aspects
Requirements:
Aeronautical background
Proven experience (minimum 5 years) within a DOA technical department in the aeronautical industry, including at least 3 years in airworthiness
Demonstrated experience (minimum 2 years) in the classification of design changes, repairs, technical adaptations, or concessions
Knowledge of cabin and electrical installation systems (ATA25 and ATA92) is appreciated
Solid knowledge of aeronautical regulations (Part 21, Part M/Part CAMO)
Good understanding of aircraft systems and certification/airworthiness processes
Experience in occurrence analysis, risk management, or technical investigation is a plus
Ability to work transversally with multiple areas of expertise
Rigor, sense of responsibility, and strong safety orientation
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including proficiency in English
Strong analytical and synthesis skills, and ease in interacting with authorities
Team player with an entrepreneurial mindset
Fluent in English and French (Italian is a plus)
Nice to have:
Knowledge of cabin and electrical installation systems (ATA25 and ATA92)
Experience in occurrence analysis, risk management, or technical investigation
