Job Description:

Your mission is to ensure the required level of safety for the ATR fleet by leading continued airworthiness activities, in coordination with the airworthiness authorities (EASA / FAA / TCCA). The position holder operates under delegation from the Head of Airworthiness for the authorization of aircraft operations and deliveries within the scope of ATR DOA privileges.

Job Responsibility:

  • Ensure the required level of safety for the ATR fleet by leading continued airworthiness activities, in coordination with the airworthiness authorities (EASA / FAA / TCCA)
  • Operate under delegation from the Head of Airworthiness for the authorization of aircraft operations and deliveries within the scope of ATR DOA privileges
  • Airworthiness Surveillance: Collect, analyze and assess all occurrences that may affect airworthiness or safety
  • Report to the authorities any occurrences presenting a potential unsafe condition
  • Conduct investigations to identify root causes and define the corresponding corrective actions
  • Technical Coordination and Action Management: Lead and coordinate activities involving ATR experts
  • Define the strategy for handling occurrences and determine the technical, financial and organizational means required
  • Monitor the implementation of corrective actions on the in‑service fleet and on the Final Assembly Line (FAL)
  • Authority Relationship Management: Prepare, update and present Airworthiness Review Sheets (ARS) during Airworthiness Review Meetings (ARM)
  • Negotiate ATR’s positions with suppliers, partners and EASA
  • Prepare Airworthiness Directive (AD) proposals and support safety communications (AOM) to operators
  • Support to Operators and DOA Activities: Respond to operators’ queries related to continued airworthiness and safety topics
  • Prepare and validate DOA-approved documents under delegation from the Head of Airworthiness
  • Contribute to Operators Conferences and Tech Connections
  • Support to Aircraft Deliveries and Commercial Campaigns: Analyze and validate non-conformities using a transversal, multi‑disciplinary approach
  • Support sales campaigns and foreign authority validations regarding continued airworthiness aspects

Requirements:

  • Aeronautical background
  • Proven experience (minimum 5 years) within a DOA technical department in the aeronautical industry, including at least 3 years in airworthiness
  • Demonstrated experience (minimum 2 years) in the classification of design changes, repairs, technical adaptations, or concessions
  • Knowledge of cabin and electrical installation systems (ATA25 and ATA92) is appreciated
  • Solid knowledge of aeronautical regulations (Part 21, Part M/Part CAMO)
  • Good understanding of aircraft systems and certification/airworthiness processes
  • Experience in occurrence analysis, risk management, or technical investigation is a plus
  • Ability to work transversally with multiple areas of expertise
  • Rigor, sense of responsibility, and strong safety orientation
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including proficiency in English
  • Strong analytical and synthesis skills, and ease in interacting with authorities
  • Team player with an entrepreneurial mindset
  • Fluent in English and French (Italian is a plus)

Nice to have:

  • Knowledge of cabin and electrical installation systems (ATA25 and ATA92)
  • Experience in occurrence analysis, risk management, or technical investigation
  • Fluent in Italian

  • Coordinate and monitor ALSE technicians to ensure Flying program requirements are met. This includes tasking of both ALSE teams (day/afternoon shift) and conducting error capture inspections on completed work
  • Coordinate ongoing servicing and maintenance requirements for ALSE equipment
  • Ensure Environment Health and Safety (EHS) compliance and that EHS related inspections/checks are carried out periodically as per local instructions
  • Ensure that Quality compliance aligns with local requirements and procedures. Any reported non-compliances are addressed within the required reporting mechanism
  • Serve as the primary Point of Contact (POC) for Operations/Aircrew interface with the team. This includes organising and scheduling gear fittings, training sessions, and equipment repairs as required
  • Be the Primary POC for the Supply Support Department for the allocated store holdings within the ALSE workshops
  • Assist the Engineering team by providing a Subject Matter Expert (SME) reference to technical queries or technical improvements raised through the ALSE department
  • Identify any process change requests and serve as the end user SME POC. Liaise with management to develop and implement any relevant changes to achieve evolving project requirements
  • Review Technical Information issued by Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEM), Regulators, and the Military Air Operator (MAO) to identify changes required. Liaise with the HATS Continued Airworthy Management (CAM) Services Organisation and RM to implement the changes required

  • The review of Airworthiness Directives, Services Bulletins and other non-mandatory recommendations to ensure timely compliance and implementation to the fleet

  • Assisting the Engineering Director & Technical Services Manager during fleet transitions where technical support to deal with aircraft specification differences or other such assistance is required
  • Assisting the Reliability Engineer on the research and completion of Technical Delay Reports to ensure root cause analysis is completed and, where applicable, preventative actions are in place to prevent further occurrences
  • The monitoring of the engine trend data, as produced by the contracted engine trend- monitoring supplier and liaison with the manufacturer when adverse trends are observed. (Mechanical only)
  • Production and updating of the aircraft damage charts and repair files to ensure that the version carried in the tech log is the most up to date. (Mechanical only)
