Job Description:

This is a rare opportunity to build and grow a contentious probate practice within a modern, tech-driven law firm already well-established in private client services. With an existing client base and rising demand for complex, high-value cases—particularly with international and cross-border elements—you’ll have the foundation and support to make this your own.

Job Responsibility:

  • Launch and lead a new contentious probate department from the ground up
  • Handle complex and high-value probate disputes, many with international dimensions
  • Play a key role in business development, bringing in new work and growing a client base
  • Use advanced legal tech and case management systems—no secretarial support required
  • Collaborate with a progressive, agile team of private client specialists.

Requirements:

  • 8+ years’ PQE in contentious probate (Solicitor or Legal Executive)
  • Proven experience with high-value, cross-border probate disputes
  • A strategic mindset and enthusiasm for business development
  • Existing client relationships or a strong network within the field
  • Leadership experience and the ability to mentor a growing team
  • Tech-savvy and comfortable working in a paperless, agile environment.
