As our Content Manager (Strategy & Storytelling), you’ll own content end-to-end: strategy, voice, editorial systems, and hands-on creation. This is a high-impact role for someone who can turn expertise into content people actually want—built for a non-desk, real-world audience that values usefulness, clarity, and credibility over “B2B fluff.” You’ll also be the person who takes Tekmetric from “content by committee” to a distinct, consistent, brand-right voice, while partnering closely with our SEO/website owner to grow share of search and share of answer in AI/LLMs as the discovery landscape shifts.
Job Responsibility:
Own Tekmetric’s content strategy (and actually execute it)
Build a content operating system that reduces “content by committee”
Develop and protect a cohesive Tekmetric voice
Create content for a non-traditional B2B audience
Drive “share of search” and “share of answer”
Use AI as a leverage layer (not a substitute for taste)
Support share of voice through smart POV + story packaging
Source and craft SME speaker submissions for events/trade shows
Turn customer outcomes into content people trust
Make distribution real (not an afterthought)
Measure what matters and iterate fast
Requirements:
5+ years of experience in content marketing, editorial, content strategy, or brand storytelling (in-house or agency), with a track record of shipping content consistently
A portfolio of work that shows: clear writing, strong editorial judgment, audience empathy, and multi-format thinking (web, social, email, scripts, toolkits, etc.)
Proven ability to interview SMEs and convert expertise into content that sounds human and credible (not “marketing-ish”)
Experience building (or rebuilding) content systems: editorial calendar, briefs, templates, approvals, and voice/tone guidelines
Strong collaboration skills and comfort driving work cross-functionally
Working knowledge of SEO/GEO fundamentals and content optimization
you can partner deeply with an SEO owner and understand what “good” looks like
High craft standards, speed, and resilience in a fast-moving environment
Nice to have:
Experience marketing to field-based, non-desk, or trade audiences (or anything adjacent to the skilled trades / local service economy)
Experience with event speaker submissions, thought leadership packaging, or PR-adjacent content
Familiarity with how AI search is changing discovery—and curiosity to test how content earns visibility and trust in that environment
