Sigma is looking for Graduate students who are passionate about making the content in our product interfaces easy to understand and use. You will be part of a talented team of designers on a shared mission to make data analytics and AI-powered apps easily accessible to non-technical customers. This internship will directly be with our product design team and will impact the way users interact with our core product.
Job Responsibility:
Work on user interface (UX) content to help Sigma increase consistency and give customers an excellent experience across product surfaces
Audit, write, and refine UX content and related guidelines for our product’s navigation, buttons, links, tooltips, and error messages
Own a project from concept to delivery during your internship in collaboration with our product designers and engineers
Delight customers with simple, straightforward, and friendly content as they explore data and generate insights with Sigma
Collaborate with product management, user research, customer success, and support team members to actively seek customer feedback
Requirements:
Currently enrolled in a university graduate degree program in the U.S with a graduation date of December 2026 or later
Able to intern from June 2026 through August / early September 2026
Legally authorized to work in the US during the Summer 2026 program
Must be able to work in-person in our SF office
Actively pursuing a Graduate level degree in Design, UX/Interaction Design, Human Computer Interaction (HCI), Digital Media/Communications, or similar field graduating in December 2026 or June 2027
Excellent oral and written communication skills in US English
Demonstrable rational design thinking and understanding of research methodologies
Strong facilitation, communication, and presentation skills
Located within the U.S. and able to work full-time in our San Francisco HQ (40 hours per week) between June 2026 - August / September 2026
Portfolio must include examples of UX content demonstrating breadth and depth in UX/interaction design, information architecture, and research methodologies
Portfolio must describe your design process and show examples of the progressive evolution of your content and designs
