We are on the look out for a social video enthusiast to join our team as a Content Creator, where you will play a key role in our Reach youth strategy by creating short and long-form social videos that are engaging, informative, and entertaining for the Curiously & Hear Me Out audiences. Curiously is a female-focused Gen Z video brand, ‘On the Pulse of Pop Culture’, meanwhile Hear Me Out is a progressive short-form vertical video brand focused on ‘Where Politics Meets Pop Culture’, and so you will need to be comfortable with covering a wide variety of topics within the pop culture and political spheres, and be comfortable both in front of and behind the camera.

Job Responsibility:

  • Create short and long-form social videos for Curiously & Hear Me Out audiences
  • leverage understanding of TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, and Snapchat to engage viewers, drive monetisation
  • generate and pitch story ideas
  • research and script vertical video content
  • pitch for interviews
  • travel for key events and video interview opportunities

Requirements:

  • Strong social video experience (short & long form)
  • preferably editorial background
  • passionate and creative
  • ability to deliver compelling and promotable stories through video
  • ability to inject personality into content
  • experience of filming, editing and producing creative, engaging social video content tailored for specific platforms
  • comfortable in front of and behind camera
  • strong video editor with experience with software such as Adobe Premiere or Final Cut Pro
  • flexibility to commute to London
  • flexibility to work some weekends, early shifts and evening shifts

Qualification in Journalism (NCTJ) & Media Law knowledge
