This role focuses on the writing, researching and directing side of media production, working closely with the full-time videographer to capture the unique narratives behind genealogical cases. You will act as a creative lead on storytelling while serving as a technical number two during filming and production tasks. The apprenticeship involves a 12-month commitment, with 80% of your time spent at Fraser and Fraser and 20% dedicated to completing a Level 3 Content Creator qualification. Job Responsibility:
Creative direction and writing, collaborate with researcher and case management staff develop and produce engaging video narratives
Lead the scriptwriting and storyboarding process to bring genealogical stories to life
Ensure all content adheres to high standards of storytelling and integrity
Production support, act as the secondary camera operator and technical assistant to the full-time videographer
Assist with the setup of lighting, audio, and camera equipment for various shoots
Help capture high-quality footage, including interviews and b-roll
Assist in setting up webinars and corporate video projects as required
Post-Production and assets, edit raw footage into polished videos using the Adobe Creative Cloud suite, including Premiere Pro, After Effects, and Photoshop
Manage media assets and ensure all video equipment is properly maintained
Ensure all creative content adheres to copyright and legal standards
Promote the company image
Assist the marketing team or others with promotional tasks as necessary
Provide support for digital content distribution on the firm’s YouTube channel
