Our Environment and Sustainability business area operates throughout Sweden, with clients in the private, municipal, and public sectors. We work with, among other things, inactive and active mines, power line projects, urban development, landfill operations, roads and railways, fossil-free steel, solar power, and onshore and offshore wind power. Our environmental expertise also supports other business areas within AFRY, including industry, energy, and infrastructure. As an environmental consultant, your tasks will vary, and you will participate in projects at both local and national levels. You may work within contaminated land, ecology/nature value assessments, environmental impact assessments, consultations and permitting processes, as well as holistically within sustainability.

Job Responsibility

  • Acting as a case handler and working closely with the Swedish environmental team on ongoing projects
  • Supporting project teams with environmental assessments, technical documentation, and analyses
  • Ensuring high quality, accuracy, and timely delivery through close collaboration with colleagues
  • Manage deadlines and deliver high-quality results

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in Environmental Engineering, Civil Engineering, Environmental, Geochemistry, or equivalent
  • Advanced GIS skills (ArcGIS Pro or equivalent) with experience in spatial analysis and modelling
  • Documented experience from environmental projects in the Nordic region
  • Experience with contaminated land
  • Fluent English, written and spoken

Nice to have

  • Experience with environmental modelling
  • Experience in advanced quantitative calculations in Excel
  • Experience using Python for GIS automation, data processing, or modelling
