Job Description

We have an opportunity to join us in our Covent Garden practice as a Contact Lens Optician. This is primarily working across Fridays and Saturdays but do have the opportunity for more hours. You will be working alongside an established team who work really well as a support.

Job Responsibility

  • Using your passion for delivering patient care you'll work with colleagues to deliver a positive customer journey
  • Building longstanding relationships – not only with colleagues and customers but with healthcare professionals in the local community and explore the opportunities for delivering enhanced services
  • Using your up to date knowledge of Contact Lens technology and spectacle dispensing to train and develop the wider optical team
  • Validating complex prescriptions and vulnerable groups and providing expert knowledge for patients with more specialist requirements
  • Opportunity to supervise a Student Contact Lens Optician/Student Dispensing Optician

Requirements

  • Full GOC registration
  • Qualified Contact Lens Optician
  • Passion for patient care

  • Be the go-to person for knowledge about complete care solutions, services and offers
  • Supervise the development, education and training of colleagues and supports and mentors students
  • Seek opportunities to engage with local commissioners and external healthcare professionals
  • Support the Divisional Contact Lens Lead in growing the business
  • Work in partnership with the local management team to deliver both contact lens and ophthalmology led services
