Consumer PR Lead for a 3-month contract, inside IR35, remote.

Job Responsibility:

  • Lead Consumer PR: Own and drive the consumer PR strategy, using data-led insights to build and deliver an impactful PR calendar that increases product awareness and achieves business objectives
  • Issues Management: Proactively identify and manage consumer-related issues, providing swift, considered responses while protecting and enhancing brand reputation
  • Best-in-Class Press Office: Deliver creative, high-quality, and award-worthy PR campaigns and coverage, while ensuring the effective day-to-day running of the press office and capitalising on relevant news agenda opportunities
  • Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and develop the team, fostering a supportive, inclusive, and collaborative culture that encourages high performance and growth

Requirements:

  • A seasoned consumer PR specialist with a strong track record of leading media relations for major consumer brands
  • Confident and credible when leading on issues management
  • Highly self-sufficient, with the ability to work independently and take ownership from strategy through to delivery
  • Commercially astute, with a clear understanding of how PR activity supports wider business objectives
  • Proven experience developing and executing strategic plans that deliver measurable impact
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills, including established journalist relationships and the ability to collaborate effectively within complex, matrixed environments
  • Action-oriented and agile, able to prioritise, adapt, and deliver at pace while balancing multiple demands
  • Demonstrable experience motivating and inspiring teams, successfully guiding people through periods of change
